Payment Options

We believe in both the immediate benefits and lasting value of chiropractic care, therapeutic massage, and acupuncture for you and your family.

While most insurance covers chiropractic, it is still rare to find health insurance or managed care coverage for acupuncture or massage therapy. However, these treatments are covered by automobile insurance when there is a documented need. We can assist you in determining your level of insurance coverage, and we will bill your insurance company for you.

Self Pay

If you have no insurance or do not have chiropractic benefits there is still a way for you to receive the care you need. Many patients pay directly for care, as they discover chiropractic to be affordable and extremely cost-effective. Call our office to discuss your payment options. We offer a healthy discount for payment at time of service.Merchant Account Services

Your benefits manager or subscriber information (plan booklet or access phone # on your health insurance card) will help you determine your level of coverage for chiropractic care. This information is more readily accessible to you as the policy holder. We recommend that you contact your insurance company as well as our Office Manager, Janet Darling, at 413 549-1500.

Medicare

Medicare pays for basic chiropractic services. It will not pay for your initial examination. Dr. Kane is a participating provider.

MassHealth

MassHeath covers chiropractic for adults and children, but requires a written referral from a medical doctor or the primary care clinician. Signing up for BMC HealthNet is another way to get the MassHealth chiropractic benefit. BMC does not require a referral.

Automobile Injury and Workers' Compensation

If you have suffered an injury in a car accident or at work, the chiropractic care you need will be covered. You have direct access to chiropractic care and do not need a referral.

Workers' Compensation in Massachusetts requires you to report your injury as soon as possible to your supervisor and may require you to present to the company physician. You may also seek chiropractic care. We will work with your company through Utilization Review for treatment plan authorization.
